Do you read the SAQA blog?

If you do then I apologise in advance for duplicating the information. SAQA is trying to raise awareness about heart disease in women and is joining the Go Red For Women campaign by featuring members' quilts on a designated Pinterest Board. Although the campaign is American based, recent research shows that we Europeans also need to be aware.

At least two of our region's members already have quilts featured on the board.

To find out more about research into women's health in Europe go to the website of the European Society of Cardiology

And if you don't read the main SAQA blog you can find it here.

Selected for Quilt National

Belated congratulations to the following members in our region whose entries were selected for Quilt National 2015. It is not possible to show any of the entries at the moment as this would disqualify the entrants but, once they are made public, we will be doing a series of posts on their entries and, hopefully impressions of the exhibition.

Successful entrants are

Inge Hueber  (Germany)
Dorte Jensen  (Denmark)
Brigitte Kopp  (Germany
Beatrice Lanter (Switzerland)
Olga Norris.  (United Kingdom)

For those of you who did not get in, the next entries will be for 2017 so you have plenty of time to begin planning your entry!
